1. Introduction Welcome to Tabsy ("we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our application (the "Application").

2. Data Collection and Storage

  • Our Application allows you to upload personal data for processing.

  • All data you upload is stored locally on your device.

  • We do not collect, store, or have access to your uploaded data.

3. Embeddings and Processing

  • The Application generates embeddings from your data using a local model.

  • These embeddings are stored locally and used for searching and retrieving relevant context within the Application.

  • No embeddings are transmitted to external servers.

4. Data Usage and External Requests

  • The only time your data leaves your device is when it is used as context in an API request to an LLM provider (currently ChatGPT, but may expand to other providers in the future).

  • The content of these API requests is limited to the relevant retrieved information required for generating responses.

5. Third-Party Services

  • The Application interfaces with OpenAI’s ChatGPT API to enhance responses.

  • We do not control how OpenAI processes data included in API requests. For more information, please review OpenAI’s privacy policy.

6. User Control and Data Management

  • All data is stored locally, so deleting the your app data folder will remove all associated data.

7. Security Measures

  • We take reasonable measures to ensure that your locally stored data remains secure, but it is your responsibility to protect access to your device.

  • Since we do not transmit or store your data externally, no unauthorized third party can access it through our Application.

8. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.

  • Your continued use of the Application after changes means you accept the updated policy.
